In our production plant we grow sapphire crystals etc. in the methods described below:
Horizontal Directed Solidification Method (HDSM): This method allows the drawing of thick, high optical quality windows (different crystal orientations possible).
Kyropoulos technique (modified Chochralsky procedure): With this technique, large crystals are drawn, which have a low crystal defect density (optical grade).
Edge defined Film-fed Growth (EFG): With this method, tubes can be up to an outer diameter of 50 mm (2 “) drawn (different wall thicknesses available).
